Karen S.Chavis, age 77, of Gahanna Ohio passed away December 12, 2021.
She was born October 31, 1944 in Chillicothe, Ohio to Goldie Giffin.
She is proceeded in death by her mother, Goldie Giffin.
Karen is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Bill; daughter, Mary Chavis; granddaughter, Ashli (Joe) Hensel; and four great granddaughters, Gabrielle, Abigail, Madison and Bayley.
Karen was an avid bowler for many years before she retired from the Ohio State University in 2006.
She became a Red Hatter and was the Queen of her chapter Sweet-Tarts with Sassy Red Hattitudes.
Karen loved to wear all the "bling" and Big red hats. The bigger the better.
Anyone that knows her knows she loved to shop. Calling herself "Queen shop alot".
Karen loved to travel, her favorite place was the Beach. She enjoyed going to the beach with her family.
She never met a stranger and had a big heart for everyone.
Karen will be missed by all that knew her.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm with a Funeral Service immediately after at Northland Church of Christ, 4581 Cleveland Avenue, Columbus- OH 43231.
