Karen R. Ferguson, 57, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away October 1, 2021.
She was born in Columbus, OH on January 4, 1964 to the late Robert and Arliss (Fisher) Vaughn.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Gay Estella Vaughn.
Surviving family includes her loving husband of five years, Lemuel Ferguson; children, Jerry (Dominique) Saunders, Tiffany (Izzy Sesay) Saunders, Justin (Jo) Saunders, Adonus Hudson; grandchildren, Jamia, Javion, Jerry Jr., Jeremiah, Jaiden, Mya, Justin Jr., Arianna, Jelani; sister, Rev. Arlis Robina Vaughn; as well as a host of nieces nephews, extended family and friends.
Karen was known for her anointed voice and heavenly smile.
She never met a stranger and her loved stretched to everyone she met.
Karen's pride and joy was her children and grandchildren.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and she will be truly missed by all.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 13th, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus - OH 43231. A Funeral Service will be held from 11:00 am on Thursday, October 14th, 2021 at Asbury United Methodist North Church, 1586 Clifton Ave, Columbus- OH 43203. All are welcome to the visitation and burial. Burial will take place immediately after in procession to Eastlawn Cemetery, 1340 Woodland Ave, Columbus, OH, 43219 .
**Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only 50 people will be allowed to attend the church service.**
** The funeral service will be live-streamed from Asbury United Methodist North Church's Facebook page."
