Karen S. Hood, 69 of Columbus, passed away Monday, July 29, 2013, at Kobacker House. She was born on February 23, 1944, in Columbus, OH; Karen was preceded in death by father Willie Langley; brothers Bill and Jack Langley; son Ronald L. Genheimer; Survivors include mother Myrtle Langley; loving husband, James D. Hood II; son Oscar (Lisa) Hood; daughter, Brandy (Darren) Craddock; brothers Michael (Janice) Langley, David (Debbie) Langley; sisters Ruth (Jack) Watson, special sister Judy Langley, Lilly (Charles) McKeever, Goldie Langley; sister in law Dorothy Langley; daughter in law Teri Genheimer; grandchildren Natalie Mullins, Rachel Genheimer, Jacob Hood, Seth Hood, Sarah Hood, Jennie Kay Craddock, Michael Craddock, Margaret Craddock; Many nieces and nephews; special nieces Nichole Langley and Stephanie (Isaac) Coakley.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 5, 2013, 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH; Funeral Service Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 11am at Central Baptist Church, 1955 Frank Road, Columbus, OH with visitation two hours prior. Pastor James D. Hood II to officiate. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery.
