Katharine F. (Daniel) Phelps, 70, formerly of Shelbyville, KY, passed away June 17, 2011. She was born August 19, 1940. Katharine was a 1963 graduate of the University of Kentucky. She was preceded in death by parents, Glover A. and Katharine Daniel. Katharine is survived by husband, James Phelps; daughters, Beverly (Michael) Shipp and Mary (Carl) Miller; siblings, Margaret (John) Russell and John (Marilyn) Daniel; grandchildren Jakob Shipp, Jessica Miller and Wesley Miller. Katharine was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother who will be sadly missed by all who knew her. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Zangmeister Center, American Cancer society or The 1st Presbyterian Church of Grove City. A memorial gathering will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 PM Friday, August 19, 2011 with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 PM with Pastors John Quist and Robert Tolar officiating at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123.
