Katharine Marie Kelley

Katharine Marie Kelley (43) passed from this world on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. Katharine was born on June 3, 1980, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

She leaves behind her husband of seventeen years, Greg Anderson, and their son, Peyton. She is also survived by her parents Janice S. and Michael James Kelley, and her brother, John Michael Kelley, and family; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was a devoted wife and mother. Kate was a wonderful caregiver and was an LPN. She was on her way to being a Registered Nurse when she fell seriously ill three years ago. Over the past three years she was hospitalized for various reasons and her body simply gave out. Kate was a fighter; she wanted to live to take care of Greg and Peyton.

In her youth, Kate played baseball, softball, basketball, and golf. One of her great attributes was her hands; her long fingers could catch anything coming her way. She was a Girl Scout and an Explorer Scout. As an Explorer Scout, she and her troop of girls spent two weeks camping in the New Mexico mountains at Philmont Scout Ranch. They were the first female explorer troop to do so. Katharine leaves behind many great memories.

Family and friends may call at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church on Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 10:00am-11:00am for visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow starting at 11:00am with a committal service after at Resurrection Cemetery.
