Katherine D. Spanovich

Katherine D. Spanovich, 82, Gahanna, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2013. Kathy was born in Columbus, OH to the late Peter J. and Goldie (Valentine) Weiss.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Joseph F. Spanovich; daughter, Julia (Jack) Allen; sons, Tony (Becky Davis) and Joe (Ann) Spanovich; grandchildren, Ben, Caitlin and Brian (Paige) Allen, Joey and Suzy Spanovich; great-granddaughter, Grace Allen; brother, William (Louise) Weiss; brother-in-law, Rudy Spanovich; nieces, nephews and many friends.
Kathy was a graduate of OSU and worked as a probation officer for Franklin County until she married and became a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother.
Visitation will be on Saturday, September 7, 2013, 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231, with the Memorial Service at 11:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to OSU STAR House "Homeless Youth Fund" #312330, OSU Office of University Development, 1480 W. Lane Avenue, Columbus, OH 43221.
