Katherine Elaine Tomlinson

Katherine Elaine (Gill) Tomlinson passed away surrounded by her loving family on March 17, 2021. She was born September 8,1948 to Lois (Williams) and Joseph (Bernie) Gill of Canton, OH.

Kathy was a graduate of Glenwood High School class of 1966. She had a diverse career history that included being a dental tech, waitress, aesthetician and nail tech, co-owner of Chuck's Sunoco, 411 operator, helping to construct B1-bombers, truck driver, and working at Discover Card. One of her greatest joys was being a mom to her beloved daughter and Mimi to her grandchildren. Kathy loved The Ohio State Buckeyes and traveling with her family. She had a servant's heart and enjoyed volunteering her time and talent at several organizations. Anyone who came into contact with Kathy was truly blessed to have known her, and she will be dearly missed by many.

She is preceded in death by her parents Lois Boone-Williams and Joseph Gill. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughter, Julie Tietz; her grandchildren, Carter, Tyler, Kennedy and Lauren Tietz; her former husband and friend, Chuck Tomlinson; her brother, Mark (Susan) Gill; step-mom, Barbara Gill; many Aunts; nieces, Christine (Greg) Miller, Sara Gill; nephew, Gary (Amy) Downard and numerous cousins.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 5-7:00 p.m. at New Life Baptist Church, 3989 Neff Road, Grove City, Ohio 43123. The Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday followed by procession to Sunset Cemetery.
