Kathleen Merz, 55, of Dublin, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. Born to Thomas J. and Freda M. (Gilbert) Carroll in Columbus, OH on March 6, 1953, Kathy is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her son, Jaime (Nicole) Troche; sister, Mary (Carlos) Barientos; brothers, Tom (Joy) Carroll and Billy Carroll; grandchild, Mackenzie Troche; nieces, nephews and many friends. Kathy worked for Ohio Health for many years. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2009, 5-7 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, with the Funeral Service immediately following at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Columbus Cancer Clinic, 65 Ceramic Drive, Columbus, OH 43214.
