Kathryn J. Gabriel, 97, of Grove City, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Monterey Nursing Home. She was born September 4, 1912, in Beaver, OH, daughter of the late George and Bertha Harrel Butler. In addition to her parents, Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy T. Gabriel; sons, Richard R. Gabriel and Michael D. Gabriel; five brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Ronald (Winnie) Gabriel; daughter, Marlene R. Howard; nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Kathryn lived in Grove City for 72 years and retired from Mourhouse Fashion after 20 years. She loved her grandchildren, tending to her flowers, and spending time fishing in Hayward, WI. Visitation will be Thursday, July 15, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral service will be Friday, July 16, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Concord Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kathryn's memory to St. Jude Tribute Program, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
