Kathryn Elaine Renick

April 1, 1950 — March 13, 2025

Kathryn Elaine Renick, lovingly known as Kathy, was born on April 1, 1950, and left this world on March 13, 2025. Throughout her nearly 75 years of life, she touched the hearts of everyone she encountered with her warm spirit and kind nature.

Kathy dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her career, spending 25 years with the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities. She truly loved her job and poured her energy into making a positive impact in the lives of children. Kathy's work was a true reflection of her nurturing personality, embodying the qualities that made her a best friend to so many.

Kathy's artistic nature came to life through her hobbies and interests. She loved photography, working on craft projects, and was an avid reader. She was adventurous and loved to travel, often exploring new places with her family by her side, creating beautiful memories across the country. Her creative spirit shone in her artistic endeavors, and she shared this talent generously with those around her.

Above all else, family meant everything to Kathy. She treasured time spent with her loved ones, and her role as a doting mother and grandmother filled her heart with happiness. Her children, Melissa (Jesse) Ireland, Philip (Laura) Renick, and Joshua Renick, were her pride and joy. Kathy delighted in each moment she spent with her grandchildren: Parker Renick, Keaton Renick, Kaitlyn Ireland, Caleb Ireland, Allison Renick, Henry Renick, Jaden Ireland, and Ja'Vion Ireland, who will forever cherish the memories they created together. Kathy will be greatly missed by her brother, Neil (Denise) Schneider, nieces, nephews, and friends whom she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her beloved father, Edgar Schneider, her mother, Betty Schneider, and her brother, Karl Schneider. Kathy's legacy of love and kindness will continue to resonate in the hearts of her surviving family and friends, reminding all of us of the beautiful life she led.
