In Loving Memory of Kathryn Todd Griswold (née Gerstung).
Kathryn Griswold, aged 76, born on July 19, 1947, passed away peacefully at home on December 5, 2023. A native of Indianapolis, IN, she was the beloved daughter of the late Edward W and Mary M Gerstung.
She was a devoted wife to her husband, Tom Griswold, and a loving sister to her brother, Robin Gerstung and her sister, the late Virginia Biagi and brother-in-law, Don. She was a loved aunt to her nephews, Joshua Gerstung, Justin (April) Gerstung, and niece, Jessica (Mike) Harmon. Kathryn's legacy also lives on in her great-niece, four great-nephews, and two great-great-nephews.
Kathryn was also a beloved member of the extended Griswold family. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Kathey Wallace and brother-in-law, Ronnie (Linda) Griswold. She was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Jimmy Griswold and Bob Wallace. Kathryn was a cherished stepmother to Tom's children, Emily (Todd) Culbertson, Colleen (Chad) Abbott, Clint (Robin) Griswold, Heidi (Elliott) Williams, and Garth (Renea) Griswold. She was a doting grandmother to their 17 children.
Kathryn was a cherished friend to many, including Sheri (Bob) Brizendine and Letha Ann Silvey, who held a special place in her heart. She will be remembered for her warm spirit, quick wit, her love and appreciation of fine art, her nurturing nature, and the love she had for her family and friends.
A devout member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Kathryn's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She loved her church and found great comfort and joy in her faith.
Kathryn was a proud alumna of St. Phillip Neri Catholic Elementary School and Saint Mary Academy High School in Indianapolis, IN. She carried the values and lessons from her early education throughout her life, touching the lives of many with her kindness and grace.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Kathryn's memory.
In this time of sorrow, we celebrate Kathryn's life and the joy she brought to those around her. Her memory will forever be etched in our hearts.
Visitation will be held from 1-4pm, Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH.
