Kathy Jean Myers

Kathy Jean Myers, 62, passed away September 9, 2024, in Frankfort, Ohio. Kathy was preceded in death by Parents, Michael and Phyllis Myers. 

She is survived by Brothers Michael (Lynn) Myers and Terry (Robin Trepes) Myers, Nieces Holly Myers, Stephanie Myers and Jessica Grooms. Nephew Terry Shawn (Crystal) Myers and Great Nephew Brice Myers and Great Niece Cameron Myers and Cousins in West Virginia. 

Kathy was a Walnut Ridge graduate class of 1980; she attended The Ohio State University and received her bachelor’s degree from the College of Nursing. She then went on to become an RN at Park Hospital/Ohio State University East Hospital for over 30 years. 

Kathy lived at home with her parents her whole life until their deaths, then moved to Canal Winchester into her first apartment with Niece Holly and their 3 dogs. She attended Whitehall Church of the Nazarene and served in Sunday School alongside best friend Linda Dudley, whom she had known since the age 12. Kathy was a shy and giving person that loved her dogs, Ohio State football, Reece’s Peanut Butter Cups, and traveling with family on road trips or to the Caribbean on a cruise. 

Kathy was a breast cancer survivor and loved participating in the Race for a Cure walk every year in Downtown Columbus with family and friends until her early onset Alzheimer’s conditioned worsened in mid 2023. She lived out the last year of her life in Memory Care facilities. 

Friends may call at the NEWCOMER SOUTHWEST CHAPEL 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123 on Friday, September 13, 2024 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 10:00am at Walnut Hill Cemetery 975 Rathmell Rd, Columbus, OH 43207. Pastor Brittany Zahler officiating.
