Kathy J. Powell, 52,of Grove City, passed away April 9, 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents, William B. and Gracie M. (Pendelton) Lyons Sr. Kathy is survived by her husband, Joshua Powell Sr.; daughter, Vaunita Thompson; sons, Joshua Lee (LeeClaire) Powell Jr., David Lee (Shantel) Powell; grandchildren, Muniya, Sharmaine, Khialya, Gregory, Kendrick, David Jr., Daijah; foster children, Margaret, Hazel, Toni, Shamekia; sister Elaine Lyons and brothers, Harvey, Wilfred, Carl, Gary, Kevin and William Jr. Lyons and a host of other family and friends. Kathy was a member of Bible Community Fellowship. She enjoyed crocheting, loved music and especially teaching. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00PM Friday, April 13, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Saturday, April 14, 2007 at First Baptist Church of Grove City, 2730 Kingston Ave., Grove City, Ohio. Pastor Paul Brewer Sr. will be officiating with interment at Grove City Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be left at www.NewcomerFamily.com
