Dr. Keith Brooks, Professor Emeritus The Ohio State University, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2007, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Dr. Brooks, born on May 14, 1923 to the late Oscar and Henrietta Brooks, is preceded in death by sisters, Kathleen Murdock ,Jeanne Watkins; brother, John Brooks. Survivors include his wife, Laquata of 55 years; sons, Todd and Craig (Cindy) Brooks; grandchildren, Andrew and Dana Brooks; loving niece, Louella Wesolowski and husband Donny and their family, Mark, Candace and Tom; loving sister-in-law, Zell Richards and husband Woody and their family. Dr. Brooks was a consultant to Ohio Board of Regents, consultant to Proctor and Gamble for 32 years, author of 5 text books, OSU 1986 Distinguished Teacher Award, Who's Who in America, Men and Women of Science, Outstanding Alumni Award from Tigerton High School in Wisconsin, 1st President of The Topiary Park, served on numerous boards in Columbus, Past President of Ohio Water Ski Association, and an avid Buckeye Football fan since 1953. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2007, from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Central Ohio, 3380 Tremont Road, Columbus, OH 43220.
