Keith Edward Serafy, 76, of Columbus passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023.
Keith was born on September 11, 1946. His parents were Edward Jacob Serafy and Martha Elizabeth (Rupert) Serafy. In his younger years he enjoyed playing on the church softball team. He served in the Ohio National Guard. For the last several years, He was active with the United Methodist Church. He enjoyed going to Saturday morning Bible Study with his son, Brian. He loved singing in the Church Choir. He liked volunteering at the food pantry with his wife. He also enjoyed watching the History channel and farming YouTube videos. For many years, he traveled to support his kids and grandchildren in all of their sports and activities. He was their biggest fan. Keith had a big personality and made a lasting impression on everyone he met. He didn't know a stranger. He loved talking to everyone. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University, and loved watching OSU sports. He was also a dedicated Pittsburgh Steeler fan. One of his favorite traditions was to sing "Happy Birthday" to all of his family members and friends. His favorite hymn was "In the Garden." He loved to sing that song, and now he will be walking in the garden with Jesus.
Keith was married to his beloved wife Patricia Ann Serafy (Stryffeler ) for 53 and a half years. They created many cherished memories, and have an amazing family.
Keith will be deeply missed by his wife, their four children, six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Their children : Brian Douglas Serafy and wife Kim, Diane Marie Neighbarger and husband Phillip, Christina Ann Serafy and husband Michael Hafner, and Charles William Serafy.
Grandchildren: Rachel LeeAnn Davis (Serafy) and husband Eric , Keith Brian Serafy and wife Destinee, Sean Ryan Neighbarger, Joel Edward Serafy, Jordan Paige Neighbarger, and Gabriel Josua Hafner.
Great Grandchildren: Reniah Davis, Kai Serafy, Elliana Davis, and Alaila Serafy.
Keith had two sisters, Sue Ann Serafy-Cox and Martha Jean Serafy.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents; Martha Elizabeth Serafy, Edward Jacob Serafy, and his sister; Sue Ann Serafy-Cox.
His family and friends love him tremendously. His legacy will live on in the hearts and stories of those who love him.
