Kenneth E. Cordle, 73, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021
at Mount Carmel Grove City Hospital. Ken was born April 21, 1948 to the late Jarrett and Goldie
(McDowell) Cordle in Blaine, Kentucky. He was a Blaine High School Graduate of 1966. He
moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1966 where he started working at Columbus Electrical Works. Ken
enlisted into the United States Air Force in December of 1967 where he was in the Civil
Engineering Squadron as a Staff Sergeant. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force in
December of 1971. Upon military discharge he returned to Columbus where he worked at
Columbus Electrical Works until 1982 then he retired from General Electric in 1998.
Ken is survived by his ex wife Donna Cordle, his son Heath (Erica) Cordle and daughter
Krystal Thomas. He is survived by his grandchildren Ava, Brayden, Matthew, Elijah, Morrigan,
and Vincent. Ken is also survived by his brother Melvin Cordle, Freda Wells, Maxine Lewis, and
Karen Slone and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Jarrett, mother
Goldie, sisters Gaynelle Wheeler, Ellen Fern Merz, Francine Adkins, Garlene Osborne, and
Doris Jean Phillips.
Ken will be deeply missed by his children and grandchildren along with many friends and
family. Visitation for family and friends of Ken will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from
1-3 pm followed by a memorial service at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove
City, OH 43123
