Kenneth Melvin Ransom

Kenneth Melvin Ransom, was born October 1, 1935, in Little Washington, Pennsylvania. and walked on to a higher place on October 1, 2024.

He graduated from Wilkinsburg High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania., and spent four years in the US Air Force. He retired from Karl Shamns, Columbus, Ohio after 35 years, in October 1997.

He loved to fish, read and watch sports. He was a member and treasurer of the Midwest Saponi Indian Nation.

Kenneth was preceded in death by parents Andrew Johnson Ransom and Ulonda Anna (Sheckles) Ransom. First wife, Dorothy Mae (Carrington) Ransom and second wife, Helen (English) Ransom, brothers, John and Donald Ransom. 

He is survived by Son, Howard (Curteen) Carrington, Sister, Loretta Cobbs, Sister-In-Law, Valerise Ransom and many nieces, nephews and friends. 

Services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio from 11:30 pm to 1:00 pm. Graveside service at 2:30 pm at Sunset Cemetery, 6959 West Broad Street, Galloway, Ohio.
