SMITH
Kenneth S. Smith, 62 of Columbus, passed away March 27th 2010 at Riverside Hospital. Kenny graduated from Granville High/Heath Area Vocational School where he earned the Rockwell Award as the Outstanding Vocational School Student/Machinist. Founded, Owned & Operated Machine Tool Rebuilders in Columbus for 25 plus years. Member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Granville Ohio. Preceded in death by parents, Alice Marie (Lyons) and Elmer Leroy Smith; brother, Lee Clark Smith. Survived by sons, Daniel Lee (Jeana) Smith and Terry Michael (Kristen) Smith; special friend, Robin Davis; siblings, Alice Karen (Gene) Hite, Marguerite Louise (Gary) Cantrell, Mark L. (Linda) Smith, and David Elmer (Jo) Smith. Kenny loved the outdoors, hunting, and spent the majority of his free time camping, shooting, scoring targets, fixing tractors, maintaining the club house and organizing work parties with friends at the Bill Moose Muzzleloading Gun club in Darbyville, where he was a lifetime member for over 35 years. Kenny was past president of the club several times and held just about every other position at one time or another. Most recently he was a Trustee of the club, and will always be remembered as being one of the driving forces in bringing the club to where it is today. Visitation Wednesday March 31st, 2010 from 4pm until the time of Funeral Service at 7 PM, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH.
