Kenneth W. Kincaid, 83 of Columbus, Ohio (formerly of Springfield, Ohio and Winter Haven/Lakeland, Florida) was peacefully swept into the arms of his Savior on November 8, 2011 after a brief illness. Born November 28, 1927 to Glendora and Homer Kincaid in New Carlisle, Ohio. A self-taught but consummate businessman, Kenneth was employed for 27 years and later owned Freking's in Springfield, Ohio. After moving to Columbus, Ohio, he served as a Contract Negotiator and Manager to private General Contractors. Kenneth married Edith Hazlett on March 21, 1944 and enjoyed 65 years of wedded devotion along with raising their two children, Judy and Doug. Kenneth was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Springfield, Ohio before retiring to Florida and becoming a member of the Winter Haven and Lakeland Churches of the Nazarene. Returning to Columbus, Ohio, Kenneth attended Grace Brethren Polaris and enjoyed the Monday Men's Bible Study. Kenneth is preceded in death by his wife, Edie (2010), his parents, brother Roger and sister, Dora. Left to celebrate his memory are his children, Judith (Brian) Shindle of Westerville, Ohio and Doug (Glenna) Kincaid of Blacklick, Ohio. Blessed by Papa's love are five grandchildren, Tiffany (Mike) Edwards of Columbus, Ohio; Chauncey (Scot) Cianci of Smyrna, Tennessee; Lindsay (Chris) Suster of Lakewood, Ohio, Ashley (David) Ings and Devon Kincaid of New York City as well as four great-grandchildren (plus two soon to be born), Jacob Cherry, Brooklyn Cianci, Isaac and Grace Edwards. Also remaining is sister, Donna Kocher of Oregon, along with numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. A Memorial Celebration will be held at the Grace Brethren Administration Center Chapel at 6675 Worthington-Galena Road in Worthington, Ohio at 12:30 pm on Sunday, November 13, 2011 with the family receiving guests thirty minutes prior. Ken's family will always remember his love of the Lord and God's Word, putting his own needs last and others' first, his faithful caring for his beloved family and the deep commitment of love for his wife, Edie, whom he yearned to see again in heaven with his Savior - home at last.
