Kevin Detwiler, age 60, passed away peacefully at The James Hospital on October 21, 2024. He was born in Delaware, Ohio on October 3, 1964. He is survived by his loving sisters, Angela Detwiler and Barbara Gonzalez; his niece, Briana (David Dennison) Gonzalez; great-nephew, Sammy Dennison; and nephew, Terrell Slusmeyer. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Janet Lee Fawn and Larry Detwiler; aunt, Ragene Rinker; uncle, Robert Rinker; other aunts and uncles; and his grandparents.
Kevin had a diverse career, working in restaurant manager, healthcare, and computer technology. His passion for computers was evident, and he excelled in his technology roles, becoming a true expert in the field. He newly had obtained a new remote job he was excited about as an apprentice at The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce. Beyond his professional life, Kevin was a creative soul who loved writing short stories, drawing, crafting, and cooking. He often made thoughtful gifts for his loved ones, showcasing his artistic talents.
Kevin will be remembered for his incredible sense of humor and positive attitude. He was a visionary and a dreamer. Despite the challenges he faced, he remained optimistic and brought joy to those around him.
He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who will cherish the memories of his kindness, creativity, and unwavering positivity.
