Kyle Ann Kowaleski was born October 25, 1951 and died on her 71st birthday, October 25, 2022.
Kyle was born at Wright Patterson AFB hospital, Dayton OH, daughter of Edmund and Doris Kowaleski. She was predeceased by her parents.
She is survived by her siblings and their families. Kathi (Paul) Newman, Kristina (Steven) Wagner, and Edmund "Ned" (Tammy) Kowaleski. Niece Jennifer, Nephew Benjamin (Alison), Great nephew Joseph and great niece Mia Newman. Nephews Nathan, Nicolas, and Nolan Kowaleski.
She is also survived by her Aunt Jeanne Simon and many cousins.
Kyle was raised in Dayton OH, graduated from Julienne HS and Bowling Green University. She taught school in Ottawa OH, Springfield OH and locally substitute taught in Southwestern City Schools. As an adult she moved back with family in Columbus OH. She worked for Kroger for the last ten years.
Kyle was a devoted Catholic and a long-time member of St. Cecilia Parish, where she worked as a part of the parish staff in the Religious Education office, taught CCD/PSR for many years and remained active in her parish life.
Kyle was a quiet, self-contained, gentle soul. Kyle had an excellent memory and was a wiz at trivia, crossword puzzles and word games. She also enjoyed playing board games and solving jig-saw puzzles. She was always an avid reader, and especially loved mysteries and intrigues. She also liked doing counted-cross stitch samplers. Kyle was devoted to family and friends, always putting others first and never missing sending relatives holiday and birthday wishes.
Kyle will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and beloved cat "Maggie".
Visitation hours and rosary will be Sunday, October 30, 2022
from 2:00-4:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City OH 43123.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 AM Monday, October 31, 2022
at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 434 Norton Road, Columbus, OH 43228.
Internment will be held at a later date at St. Valbert Cemetery, Versailles, OH.
