Lahoma Mccoy

Lahoma Virginia McCoy, known as "Sib" to family and friends born August 24, 1916 and died October 7, 2011 at home. Sib was cared for at home by her son Tim, wife Shirley and granddaughter Amy with the help of Alice Richards. She was preceded in death by her parents Freemen P. and Minnie Sprague; brothers Howard and Clifford; husbands Joseph A. McCoy and Paul R. Sheets; son Joseph E. McCoy. Sib is survived by son Tim [Shirley]; grandchildren Amy McCoy, Kelly [Mike] Henson and Kevin Rhodeback; great-grandsons Justin and Jake Henson; Sister Dessie Spangle and Brother Larry (Alice) Sprague, as well as nieces and nephews. Sib retired from Orient State Institute Switchboard in 1979 and attended Southwestern Church of Christ as long as her health permitted. She enjoyed a long retirement of traveling, watching birds, gardening, flower arranging, and spending countless hours with her family. At Sib's request, there will only be a graveside service, 11:30am, Wednesday, October 12, 2011 for family and friends at Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling, Ohio. Memorial donations can be given to Pickaway County Senior Citizen Center "Meals on Wheels", 2105 Chickasaw Dr., Circleville, OH 43113. Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, Grove City is handling the arrangements.
