Laquetta Lavett Pleasant

Laquetta Lavett Pleasant was born on February 24, 1980 to Marcella D. Pleasant. She went home to be with the Lord on March 1, 2013 at Nationwide Children's Hospital of Columbus Ohio.

Laquetta was a long time member of the Mount Vernon Avenue Baptist Church, where she sang in the youth choir and attended Sunday School until she became ill.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Latasha Pleasant; grandmother, Blanche Edgerton; father, James Edgerton; aunts, Angel Johnson and Nama McCary; cousin, Marquan Johnson and great grandma, Mayme B. Thomas.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved mother, Marcella D. Pleasant; sisters, Lavitta R. Pleasant, Jamecia (Queinton) Sellers, Raichelle Skeaton; Godmother, Sheryl Sanders; special friend, Tracy (Jack) Ruff; grandparents, Anna M. Pleasant and Roland (Carol) Pleasant; aunts, Lakiasha Pleasant, Mischelle (Pleasant) Akwei; uncles, Roland Jr (Tina) Pleasant, Lorenzo Pleasant, Gregory (Sherry) Pleasant; and Michael (Secoya) Pleasant, all of Columbus, Ohio; special cousins, Marquiasha Wallace, Mikeesha, Shanekqua Amofa, Anton Pleasant and Cameron Crumbley and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and family.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until the time service at 7:00 PM Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Mount Vernon Avenue Baptist Church, 1358 Mount Vernon Ave., Columbus. Graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Glen Rest Memorial Estate, Reynoldsburg.
