Larry E. Reichle, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on January 25, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on August 4, 1940, in Columbus, Ohio, Larry led a life rich with faith, family, and friendships.
A proud member of the class of 1959 from South High in Columbus, Larry went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force. After his military service, he built a successful career, spending many years at Techneglas until his retirement in 1998.
Larry was not just defined by his work; he was a man of great personality, known for his sense of humor and his unwavering love for his family. He was deeply passionate about sports, proudly supporting the Buckeyes and instilling that spirit within his family.
In his leisure time, Larry enjoyed a variety of hobbies. He was an avid golfer and a devoted ham radio operator, building connections and friendships with people around the globe. His musical inclinations led him to be an active member of the Gospel Ambassador's and Buckeye Gospel singers, and he cherished his long-time membership at Westgate Baptist Church, currently attending First Baptist Grove City.
Larry's proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly his family and the loving life he created with his wife, Eula D. Reichle, over 64 years of marriage. He is survived by his wife, Eula; sons, Gregory E (Karen) Reichle and Wayne A Reichle; brother, Gary (Diane) Reichle; sister, Gayla (Rick) Goebbel; grandsons, Kyle (Shelby) Reichle, Ken (Ashley) Reichle, and Tyler Reichle; granddaughter, Kara Reichle; and great-grandchildren, Brady Moore and Roselle Moore.
He is preceded in death by his father, Harold G. Reichle; mother, Martha M. Reichle; and son, Larry J. Reichle.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home in Grove City, Ohio, on January 30, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service on January 31, 2025, at 11:30 AM, also at the Newcomer Funeral Home. Larry will be laid to rest at Sunset Cemetery.
Larry E. Reichle will be remembered for the light he brought into those around him, his infectious laughter, and his unwavering commitment to his family and faith. He leaves behind a legacy of love and fond memories that will be cherished by all who knew him.
