Larry Holmes, Sr.

Larry "Chico" Holmes, Sr, age 82 of Grove City, OH, passed away on April 30, 2023. He was born on February 3, 1941 to the late Clyde and Dorothy (Ranke) Holmes in Columbus, OH. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Carol Ann "Sue" Holmes. Larry is survived by his loving children Larry Holmes Jr, Tricia (Todd) McDonald and Tonya Pack, grandchildren Johnda Hicks, Matthew Holmes, Cassie Holmes, Zach (Brooke) Holmes, Garrett (Demi) Pack, Cameron Ellis, Jacob Pack, MacKenzie Pack, Chase Ellis and Charleigh Holmes, many great grandchildren, brothers Ronald (Marsha) Holmes and Harvey (Patty) Holmes.

He retired from Mid Ohio Air Conditioning Corp after 36 years. He was a 1959 graduate from Grove City High School and all around athlete. His first love was playing and coaching football. He spent over 20 years coaching football at GCKA. Larry enjoyed traveling after retiring.

Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH on Monday, May 8, 2023 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral service on Tuesday at 11:00am at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Grove City Cemetery, Grove City, OH.
