Larry Kermit Howell, 77, of West Jefferson, OH passed away January 29, 2022.
He was preceded in death by parents, John Kermit and Marie Howell; brother, Dale (Joyce) Howell; and nephew, Troy Howell.
Larry is survived by wife, Dinah Howell; children, Chris (Heidi) Allen, Jared (Amy) Howell, and Jason (Blanca) Howell; grandchildren, Clay and Morgan Allen, Emily Howell, Jacob and Juliana Howell; sister, Connie (Joe) Kouns; as well as several nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
Larry was a pitcher for the Ohio University Bobcats. He served our country in the US Army during Vietnam. Larry received his Bachelor's Degree in business from the Ohio State University. He worked for International Harvester as a sales rep. After that, Larry was employed at General Motors. He went on to become a business owner of a milk delivery truck and Marathon Beer Barn station. In his free time, Larry collected tractors, played golf and racket ball, spent time with his friends, family, and especially his grandchildren. He liked to watch sports, including Ohio State, Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. He was well known in his community and was a friend to many. Larry was easy to befriend and always put a smile on everyone's face with his quick sense of humor and warm heart.
A private family memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
