Raynard
Lawrence "Larry" Raynard, 76, of Johnstown, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born August 29, 1931, in Columbus, son of the late Gilbert and Clara Diehr Raynard. Larry graduated from Linden McKinley High School in 1951. He proudly served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict aboard the U.S.S. Roanoke. In addition to this, Larry was a retired plumber and a lifetime member of the Johnstown Sportsman Club. He was also a member of the Centerburg Conservation Club, American Legion, N.R.A. and V.F.W. He is survived by his wife of 53 years and 9 months, Joanne Fisher Raynard; son, Dave of Marysville; daughter, Tracey of Maine; grandson, Blake of Maine; granddaughters, Leslie and Lindsey of Maine and Brooke of Mt. Vernon; sister Marilyn Stout of Grove City. Larry was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Visitation will be Sunday, October 14, 2007 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home N.E. Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus. Funeral service will be Monday, October 15, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard Ellsworth, officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
