Lawrence J. Coughlin

Lawrence J. Coughlin, 82, of Columbus, passed away peacefully at home with his family June 26, 2021. Lawrence was born May 23, 1939 in Columbus, OH to Howard and Gertrude (Nelson) Johnston. He graduated from Aquinas High School in 1957. Lawrence proudly served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1961. He retired after 43 years from Anderson Concrete. Lawrence was an active member of the Moose Lodge #1427 for 16 years. He was an active member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Lawrence enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family. Lawrence will be deeply missed by his wife Carol of 60 years; children Bridget (Jeff) Roush, Michael (Teresa) Coughlin, and Beth Ann Rowe; grandchildren Hanna, Hollis and Sidney Roush, Michael (Kelly) Coughlin II, Alayna (Alex) Carmoega, Alexa (Nicholas) Racine, Mitchell Coughlin, and Brady Rowe; great-grandchildren Lennox, and Fredericka; sister Betty Ann Arthur along with many other family and friends. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents and sister Maureen Buchanan. Visitation will be Friday, July 2, 2021, from 3pm to 5pm at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus. There will be a private family service.
