Lawrence Edward Woodruff, 56, of Gahanna, passed away Friday, March 30, 2007 at St. Ann's Hospital. He was born April 26, 1950, in Columbus, son of the late Floyd and Marguerite McDevitt Woodruff. In addition to his parents, Lawrence is preceded in death by a sister, Mary F. Nosbisch. He served in the Army during Vietnam and also retired from the United States Postal Service. He is survived by his wife, Fran Watts Woodruff; sons, James Lawrence Woodruff of Columbus and Timothy Michael (Jennifer) Woodruff of Euless, Texas; sister, Sharon Woodruff of Saline, Michigan; special friends, Jim and Gertrude Christian; several sister's and brother's-in-law, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday, April 1, 2007 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home N.E. Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus. Funeral service will be Monday, April 2, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Darren Knoll, officiating. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
