Leo Sherman Baugess, 85, passed away May 28, 2012 at his home. He was born March 8, 1927 in Elliott County, KY.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Bryant and Virgie Lee (Stapleton)Baugess; and siblings, Fritz Baugess, Curtis Baugess, Greta Rowe, Elmer and Raymond Baugess.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gloria (Sands) Baugess; daughter, Dairen Kaye (Neal) Monroe; son, James (Lynette) Baugess; sisters, Gretchen Porter, Lorraine Uhley, Virginia Hiermer and Betty Herriott; grandchildren, Nathaniel, Kristen and Wesly; great-grandchildren, Arianna, Alexis, Zachary, Keira, Jaxon and Ezekiel.
Leo was a member of the Grove City Nazarene Church and owner operator of L.S. Baugess Builders for 40 years. He was loved by his family and his church family.
Visitation Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Grove City Nazarene, 4770 Hoover Rd., Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Friday, June 1, 2012 at 10 am at the Church. Pastors Owen Stotts and James Baugess to officiate. Interment at 2 pm at Beaver Union Cemetery, Beaver, OH.
