Leonard P. Pitro, 80, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2010, surrounded by his loving family. Leonard was born to John and Julia (Halchak) Pitro in Youngstown, OH on October 2, 1929, and is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Barbara (Yonick) Pitro; sons, Leonard (Lauren) Pitro Jr. and Paul Pitro; sister, Mary Noe; brother, Steven Pitro; grandchildren, Timothy Pitro, Christopher Pitro, Michelle (Jason) Brobst, Andrew (Carrie) Lutzen; great-grandchildren, Samantha and Kristan Brobst. Leonard was a US Air Force Veteran and retired after 20 years of service. He also worked for McBee Loose Leaf Binders for many years. At Leonard's request, no visitation or service will be held. Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH is honored to serve the Pitro Family.
