Leslie A. Martin

Leslie A. Martin, age 77, died at home on Saturday, September 7, 2024. Born August 31, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Weldon and Margaret Putt. She is survived by Bryan Martin; son, sister, Christy Guidetti; nephew Tim (Dawn) Pierce; niece, Melissa (Scott) Greenon. 

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Howard D. Martin Jr. Leslie graduated from Grove City High School before attending her beloved Capital University where she would earn her Bachelor’s degree in Education before earning her Master’s Degree through the University of Dayton. Leslie spent the majority of her 30 years in education instructing the students of Whitehall City Schools. Through her devotion and skill, she taught students the joy and value of becoming accomplished readers. She will be fondly remembered by her scores of friends from a wide variety of social circles and activities. Most of all, she will be remembered by those who loved her as a beacon of light shining God’s love into the world. 

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, September 14, 2024 with visitation beginning at 10am at Bethel Lutheran Church, 4501 Hoover Rd. Grove City, OH 43123 with Pastor Peter Ray officiating.
