Leszek Zajac passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023, after a period of declining health. He was 72 years old.
Les was born in Poland on July 15, 1950 to parents Wladyslaw and Irena Zajac. He was a 1968 graduate of The Electrical College of Lublin with a degree in electrical engineering. Les and his wife Ursula were married in 1972. In 1982, without knowing the English language, Les and Ursula immigrated to the United States to pursue a better life for themselves and their two children.
Les quickly became a master electrician and opened his own business which he operated for over 20 years. He also worked many years at Dublin City Schools where he retired in 2023.
Les will be missed by many as he loved to learn from and interact with people. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, flying, boating, gardening, bee keeping, and fixing cars. What brought him the most joy was watching his beloved grandsons play.
His loss has left a huge hole in our hearts. He worked so hard to give his family a good life and for that we are proud and forever grateful.
He is survived by his wife Danuta Ursula Zajac; his son Derrick (Nikki) Zajac; his daughter Violet (Jason) Koskinen; and his two grandsons Grayson and Everett whom he loved more than anything.
He is preceded in death by his parents Wladyslaw and Irena Zajac and his brother Waldemar Zajac.
Services will be held at 10 AM on Monday, June 26 at Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 High St, Lewis Center, OH 43035.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to The American Kidney Fund in Les's honor.
