Lewis was born in Athens, OH on June 8, 1929, to William Washington and Mildred (Hendricks) Washington and is preceded in death by his parents; wife Rosella (Howard) Washington; sister, Patricia (Kellam) Smith; brothers, William and Thomas Hendricks.
Survivors include his nieces and nephews, Valarie (Michael) Moss, Stephanie Hayes, John P. Smith, William Hendricks and Kenneth Hendricks; plus a host of other family members.
Graveside Services will be held at 12:00 Noon Friday, February 1, 2013, at Dayton National Cemetery, 4100 West 3rd Street, Dayton, OH 45428.
