Lila Jean Gillis, 88, of Columbus, Ohio went to be with the lord on February, 24th, 2024.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Esther (Dobson) Francis, 7 siblings, and children, Deborah Jean Johnson and Theresa Lynn Gillis
She is survived by her children, Betty J Fields (Dion) Robert V. Gillis, Michael Todd Gillis, Grandchildren, Shannon Gillis-Hendrix (Gene) Johnny Morrison, Michelle Mobley, Christina Randolph (Jason), Michael T Gillis II , Jeffrey Tipton, Jennifer Gillis a host of great grands as well
Lila LOVED the Buckeyes, O H…really enjoyed her family and having them come by anytime. Lila really loved her cats! She was affectionately known as the "Cat Lady". Lila enjoyed nature, loved feeding the birds and squirrels. Lila never met a stranger, she was truly loved by everyone.
A special note for Tabitha Nichols from the family. We'd like to say Thank you for your years of service and most of all friendship to our Lila.
The family would also like to recognize Care 360 Hospice for outstanding care of Mom. Will, Chaplain Josh, Erin all of your staff, Thank you!
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 1st from 5-7pm at Newcomer Grove City - 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio, 43123. A service will follow immediately at the funeral home.
