Lillie B. Minor, born November 4, 1924, gone from labor to reward, December 12, 2006. Lillie was born in Charleston, Mississippi to the late Silas and Lela Smith. Sister Minor was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Toledo, Ohio, where she was a faithful member for 60 plus years and served on the Nurses Guild. Private Minor is a Veteran of the United States Army and retired from the Toledo Postal Service. Sister Minor enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brother(s) Silas Jr., Lawrence C. (LC), Victor, Hilliard, George, and Wardell Smith; sister Parthine (Smith) Heard. Survived by former husband, Willie Minor; sister, Addie B. Smith (Kemp); sister-in- law, Tommy Smith; special cousin, Ann Griffin. Viewing will be Monday, December 18, 2006, 10-11 a.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 3393 Broadway Avenue, Grove City, Ohio. A Home Going Celebration will be held at 11:00 a.m. following the visitation.
