Linda Dianne Smith peacefully passed away at home in the loving arms of her family on May 18, 2011. Linda was born and raised in Clarksburg, West Virginia and graduated from Victory High School. One of four children born to Lawrence and the late Wanda Steele, she is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 39 years, John Lee Smith, and by her cherished children, Ryan, Nathaniel and his wife Alicia, all of Columbus, Ohio. Linda is also survived by her sisters Rebekah, Connie, and Vicki, and brother-in-law Joffre and his wife, Pam, and by her treasured nieces Valerie, Stacy, Shelley, nephews Joffre and Jason, and countless other family and friends, all of whom were blessed by her life. Linda will forever be remembered for her generous hospitality, her welcoming smile, and her love of gospel music, which she often played on the organ and sang at her church, but mostly for her trademark sense of humor by which she brightened the lives of all up to the end. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday May 28, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Columbus West Church of God located at 147 Gladys Road, Columbus, OH 43228. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
