Lloyd Joseph "Joe" Crump, age 78, born May 8, 1933 in Greenup, Kentucky to Lona and Harry Crump. Joe passed away August 8, 2011. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from Lucent Technologies and Ross Laboratories. Joe loved sports and participated in a senior softball league until recently. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Virginia of fifty five years and children, Anita (Leonard) Dickerson, Eric (Noey) Crump and granddaughter, Brandi Sims (Derek Carter, grandson to be), grandsons, Jay Sims and Brandon Crump. Joe is also survived by his sisters, Ethel Cosby, Lois Hawkins, Dorothy Crump and Sharon (Robert) Pinckney and brothers, Thurman Crump and Clarence (Haley) Crump and a host of many nieces, nephews and many special friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2011, 6PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE, Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH with visitation one hour prior to the service.
