Lloyd Ervin Evans, 64, of Johnstown, passed away Monday, September 24, 2007 at St. Ann's Hospital. He was born April 10, 1943, in Butte, MT, son of the late Floyd and Geneva Muncy Evans. Lloyd was a 1961 graduate of Warfield High School in Warfield Kentucky. He also served as a paratrooper in the Airbourne 2D Battalion, 503rd Infantry in the U.S. Army. Lloyd was an active member of the Potter's House Church of God in Columbus and retired from General Electric in Worthington. He is survived by his wife, Thelma J. Evans; daughter, Michelle Ashbrook; grandson, Jacob Ashbrook all of Johnstown; brother, Floyd Edward (Linda) Evans of Pilgram, KY; four brother-in-laws; two sister-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, September 27, 2007 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home N.E. Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus. Funeral service will be Friday, September 28, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Potter's House Church of God, 3220 Lowell Dr. Columbus, OH, with the Rev. Tim Oldfield, officiating.
