Lloyd Sammons, age 72, of Columbus went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 19, 2003. His membership include VFW Post 6065. and N.A.U.S. Preceded in death by parents, Oscar and Cassie Sammons; brothers, Lionel Mason, Carroll Franklin; sister, Janet; wife, Delores. Survived by wife, Liz; brothers, Larry (Linda), Charles Edward (Johnene); sisters, Roberta Mayhorn, Dorothy (Bob) Ridenhour, Judy Shepherd, Joyce Parks, Phyllis (Johnnie) Stivers, Carolyn (Bob) Kinser; son, Steven (Barbara); daughters, Tammie ((Gary) Grimm, and Amy (Steve) Long; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; stepson William Werts; 2 step-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and many friends. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus. military service at 8:30 PM. Funeral service will be Monday at Good Shepherd Community Church, 210 Obetz Rd., Columbus at 10 AM. Dr. (Rev.) William Snider officiating. Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
