Lois T. Hunt, 85, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Lois, or as she preferred to be called, just Lois (no “grandma” for her!), was a fiercely independent and ornery spirit. She was known for her love of lattes, her endless collection of antiques, and her unwavering fondness for the music of Elton John and classic Westerns. For as long as she could, she called her charming gothic Victorian home her own, filling it with treasures and memories that reflected her unique taste and vibrant personality.
Lois loved to tell you exactly how things should be done, and she did so with a smile and a twinkle in her eye. Her thoughtful gifts were always spot on, and she never missed an opportunity to make you feel special.
Her infectious voice and sharp sense of humor left an impression on everyone she met. Whether she was sharing a laugh, offering a witty remark, time spent with Lois was always memorable. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a treasure trove of beautiful trinkets that will continue to remind us of her.
Lois is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dale, and her son, Andy and brother, Ronnie. She will be deeply missed by her children Martin (Hope), Derek ( Judi), grandchildren Alisha, Hillary, Samantha, Dale, & Kelli , great-grandchildren Owen, Scarlett, & Bodhi, and all those whose lives she touched with her love, humor, and unique style.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you raise a glass in Lois’s honor and play an Elton John song—bonus points if you follow it with a Classic movie marathon. If you have a memory or story, please share with us at judih68@yahoo.com
Per Lois' request, there will be no formal services.
