Lonnie Ray Grimmett, age 56, of Columbus died Friday, May 17th 2024. Lonnie was born on July 25th 1967 in Columbus to Jerome Grimmett & Betty Grubb.
Lonnie worked as a drywall finisher for 40 years & was very good at it. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping watching NASCAR & cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved spending time with his family & was always there to lend a hand.
Preceded in death by father Jerome Grimmett, mother Betty Grubb, daughter Taylor Grimmett, brother in law Ronald Boe Thomas
Survived by daughter Misty Grimmett, sisters Terri Thomas, Lisa (Greg) Absten, Cheryl (Dave) Furbee, Crystal Gail (Bobby) Collins
He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins & lifelong friends.
Visitation for friends & family to be held on Wednesday May 29th, 2024 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123.
Funeral service to be held on Thursday May 30th, 2024 at 11:00am at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3220 Columbus St., Grove City, Ohio 43123. Pastor Seth Jersild officiating.
Interment following funeral service at Silent Home Cemetery, 1576 Lancaster Ave., Reynoldsburg Ohio, 43068
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to Newcomer Funeral Home.
