WOOTEN, Loradell, age 52, died Thursday, May 12, 2005, at St. Ann's Hospital in the Palliative Care Unit due to complications of breast cancer.
Loradell was born May 1, 1953 to the surviving parents of Jack and Rita Cavinee Wooten, both of Gahanna.
She was also survived by her brother, Audie (wife, Bethanne) Wooten, Sister, Rita (husband, Pete) Shapter, and six nephews and nieces, Rebecca, Jacob, Phillip and Abby Wooten and Breanna and Miranda Shapter.
She was also survived by many Uncles, Aunts and Cousins whom she loved so much.
And last but certainly not least, survived by Pamela Oeffler, her dedicated partner, friend and caregiver who loved and cherished her for 30 years.
Loradell was the 1955 Easter Seal child.
Loradell graduated from Westerville High School in 1971 and graduated from Southern Florida College in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management. She worked at P.E.R.S. in Columbus, Ohio and at Martin-Marietta in Orlando, Florida where she was associated with the Patriot Missile Program (Contracts).
Loradell loved creating cards for family and friends. She was warm, generous and caring. Her love for stamping endeared her to many friends as she shared her love and talent with them. Her cards wre always created with special thoughts for the person receiving this special gift.
We wish to thank all of the nurses and doctors who helped her with her fight against breast cancer at St. Anns. We also want to thank all of the young people at Logan's Restaurant, Easton who loved her dearly.
The family will receive friends at Newcomer Funeral Home at 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road in Columbus, Ohio. The "Celebration of Life" will begin at 12:30PM and the Memorial Service will begin at 2:00PM on Monday, May 16, 2005.
