Lorene Farmer, 81, of Delaware, OH, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. Lorene was born to Charles and Lucinda (Curry) Blankenship in Logan, WV, on May 1, 1928, and was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Crystal Bell Shepard; brothers, Charles Jr., Thomas, Clarence and James Blankenship. Survivors include her daughters, Della Simpkins, Lawana (Mark) Davidson; Jackie (Duane "Bo" Rhoads) Reynolds; son, Harry Farmer; sisters, Doris Fraser, Mary (Noah) Oakes, Geraldine (Mack) Chapman, Margie Penrod and Ruby (Jim) Deskins; brothers, Ervin (JoAnn), Everett and Ernest Blankenship; special friends, Linda Johnson, Margaret Wallace plus Lorene's special companion, "Skippy"; 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and many additional friends. Lorene loved to crochet and was always giving her needlework to friends and family. At her request, there will be no visitation or service.
