Loretta Faith Rector

Loretta Faith Rector born September 20, 1944 took her last breath on earth December 5, 2023 and woke up in heaven.

Loretta leaves behind her husband Michael Ray, life companion and sweetheart of 60 years. Son Scott and wife Rene, daughter Christy Rae and husband J.Michael Bailey, and daughter-in-law Kimberly Jackson. Grandchildren Eric & Kristy Rector, Nathan & Denise Rector, J.Christopher & Kylee Bailey, Kaylee & Jake Banks, and Kaydee Harshbarger. 12 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren with additional family members in Georgia and North Carolina.

Loretta leaves us with many precious memories. Her legacy in life was defined by the way she lived and life statements she demonstrated: "just praise God through it" "be who you say you are" and "the only thing that matters is Jesus". Loretta was a pastor's wife and ministry partner for over 52 years. She retired from the State of Ohio and in retirement worked for the non-profit Car Seat Foundation, scheduling car seat checks to keep kids safe while traveling.

Loretta's life on earth is not our final journey with her…only until we meet again.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 10th from 4-7pm at First Southern Baptist Church. 310 W Jersey St, Johnstown, OH 43031. A visitation will also be held on Monday, December 11th at 11am with a service to follow at 12pm at First Southern Baptist Church.
