Lorraine Tipton

Lorraine Tipton, age 68, passed away on January 13, 2021 at 9 PM. She was born on January 21, 1952 in Kermit, WV to the late Julius and Columbia Tipton. Lorraine moved to Columbus as a toddler, and remained there where she eventually raised her family. Lorraine was beautiful both inside and out, her family was everything to her; at the same, she didn't sugar coat anything (as she stated, "I'm not Willy Wonka").

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Carolyn Dockery; as well as brother, Arvel Tipton and grandson, Bradley W. Crocker.

She is survived by her children, Julius (Jenny) Crocker, Betsy Crocker-Heimlich, and Jordan Tipton; grandchildren, William (Cindy) Crocker, Aleena Ferrell, and Brayden Heimlich; great-grandson, Bastion. She is also survived by special nieces, Debra Tipton and Peggy Warden; along with many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 from 5-8 PM at Newcomer Southwest Chapel as well as Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 10:30-11:30 AM. Funeral will be held at 11:30 AM, Nephew, Randy Chaffin officiating.

We will meet at the graveside at 12:30 PM. Masks are required for all that attend.
