Louella Elswick

Louella "Pauline" Elswick, 86 of London, Ohio passed away on Monday October 9, 2023 at Bluebird Retirement Community. Pauline was born in Ashland, Kentucky to Aurthur and Aline "Harr" Travis. In 1954 Pauline married her high school sweetheart Frank Elswick, and they were married for 55 years creating a very special family with three children.

Pauline retired in 1994, after 24 years as the Associate Membership Director of the YMCA, Downtown Columbus. She was a long time member of the Hilltop Church of God in Columbus, Ohio. Pauline was one of the best at cooking and baking. She loved to travel over the years with Frank and, continued traveling on her girls trip to Myrtle Beach. You would never know she had a ornery side, always loved playing pranks on people, sometimes even playing tricks on herself. She loved caring for people and spreading joy to everyone around her. Pauline said "If I could put a smile on someone's face, then I have accomplished something, and that's why I knew I belong at Bluebird."

She was proceeded in death by her loving Husband Frank, son Greg Elswick, and parents. Pauline is survived by daughter, Debi (Vince) Marchese; son, Danny (Mary) Elswick; grandchildren, Nicole (Chad), Todd (Eileen), Scott (Loretta), Major, Joshua (Sarah), Brandi (Nick), Vince (Katye); and numerous great-grandchildren; sister Jeannie Wireman, many close friends and, her very special grand dogs Bella and Millie.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 16th, 2023, 11am-1pm until time of service at 1 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Pauline will be laid to rest beside her loving Husband at Sunset Cemetery, 6959 West Broad Street Galloway, Ohio . In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Affinity Hospice, 7681 Tylers Pl Blvd Suite 3, West Chester Township, OH 45069.
