Louis J. Kurucz, 92, of New Albany, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2008. Born to the late Louis and Mary (Nagy) Kurucz on August 2, 1915, in Columbus, Louis was also preceded in death by two sisters, Julia Grover and May Goelz. Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Mardell (Meechy); daughters, Donna L. (Richard) Meyer, Nancy E. (Howard) Chamberlain, son, Gerald L. (Carolyn) Kurucz; grandchildren, Sheryl L. Meyer, Laurel A. Stokes, Richard L. (Anna) Meyer, Kraig L.(Beth) Kurucz, Kayla L. (Aaron) Gomez, Kara L. Kurucz and Gerry L. Kerr; great-grandchildren, Brett (Melessa) Lovett, Mandy Meyer, Melessa Meyer, Maggie (Michael) Teagarden, Michael Meyer, Ryan Kerr, Rachel L. Kerr, Scott J. McDaid, and Jacob L. Kurucz; great-great-grandchildren, Evan M. and Emma G. Teagarden, and Dylan Lovett. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2008, 5-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus. Funeral Service on Thursday, July 3, 2008, 12:00 PM at Peace Lutheran Church, 455 Clark State Road, Gahanna, OH. Interment will follow immediately at Mifflin Twp Cemetery, In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Peace Lutheran Church. The family would like to thank the Harbor Light Hospice and the staff at The Woodlands Assisted Living for the excellent care that they provided.
