Lourine D Powell, 78, of Galloway, Ohio, passed away February 28, 2024. She was born in Jamaica on March 24, 1945 and later became a proud American citizen.
Lourine moved to America in the early 70's. Lourine was a nurses aid, a hard worker, and a very faithful woman to her Lord and Savior. Lourine worked two full time jobs while working a part-time job to provide for her five boys that she loved and raised. She was a faithful member to her church Germantown Christian Assembly, and very involved in mission work with the Sisters of Compassion. She loved serving the Lord by serving others. She was so proud of her house that she worked so hard to buy and pay off in Philadelphia. Lourine was a very successful and independent woman who also traveled all over the world.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald George Powell, mother, Ethal Banton. Surviving family includes, Sons; Dwight (Jacqueline) Powell, Edmond Powell, Linroy Powell, Vincent Powell, Everette (Lateefah) Powell, and Dexter (Chrisine) Powell, 10 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
