Lowell Thomas Long "Tom," 73, passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family on Dec. 9, 2020.
He was preceded in death by parents, Edith and Tom Long; brothers, Johnny and Loren; sister, Leota Pope.
Tom is survived by wife, Betsy; children, Nicole (Gene) Reece, Janie Long, Duane (Pam Davis) Murray, and Tammy (Chris) Foley; grandchildren, Amber (Nolan), Logan (Robbie), Adam, Owen, and Trevor; great-grandchildren, Lillie, Royce, and Rhett; brother, Lanny; sister, Loretta Story; sisters-in-law, Judy West and Karen Burns; brother-in-law, Mike (Luann) Murray; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
He worked as an engineer for Conrail for 18 years and retired from Franklin County Engineers after 25 years. Tom loved to do side jobs with his best pal, "Bobby." A special thank you to Kindred Hospice, especially Debbie Hamer and Joe McDaniels; as well as neighbors, Rob, Lisa, and Marcus Graham.
Visitation Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020 from 10am until the time of Funeral Service at 1pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Masks are required for attendance. Interment to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
